‘Leadership of saints essential to maintain unity of Hindus’

Varanasi: On the second day of the two-day meeting of the Kendriya Margdarshak Mandal in Kashi on Monday, saints decided to launch a nationwide awareness campaign to prevent religious conversion and promote social harmony. Saints will visit villages to raise awareness among the Hindu community to prevent division into sects. It was decided in the meeting that ahead of the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj, saints from Hindi-speaking regions—Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, and Jharkhand—will unite the Hindu community through a widespread awareness campaign.The meeting was organised at Kaivalya Gyan Mandir in the Sigra area in which from saints across the country took part. Dinesh Ji, the Kendriya Sanrakshak of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, emphasised the need for saints' guidance in stopping religious conversion, eliminating discrimination between sects, and fostering social harmony. He stated that the leadership of saints is essential to maintain unity within the Hindu community. Jagadguru Sumer Peethadhishwar Shankaracharya Narendraanand Saraswati Ji expressed his views, stating that a lack of values is causing family breakdowns in Hindu society. He condemned untouchability as a sin from both religious and social perspectives. Akhileshwaranand Ji Maharaj, who presided over the meeting, spoke about the importance of values in restoring Indian life principles and maintaining social traditions. It was also decided that the next meeting of the Kendriya Margdarshak Mandal will be held on Jan 24 during the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh and a saints' conference will be organised on January 25-26, inviting saints from all Hindu traditions worldwide. A Sadhvi conference will be held on January 25, a resident saints' conference on January 26, and a young saints' conference on January 27. In these conferences, the community of saints will discuss challenges facing the Hindu community and provide guidance for solutions.Milind Parande Ji, the Central General Secretary of the VHP said that Hindus worldwide should be aware of their religion and culture.
