Rajbhar targets SP over OBC quota, questions Akhilesh’s stand over broader OBC community
Varanasi: Keeping a special focus on Brahmins, Suheldeo Bhartiya Samaj Party (SBSP) supremo and UP panchayati raj minister Om Prakash Rajbhar called upon non-Yadav voters to stop slavery of those who kept grabbing the entire benefit of the 27% quota for OBCs.Blowing the bugle for the 2027 Vidhan Sabha polls from SBSP's Samrasta rally, organised at Janta Intermediate College ground in the Ahraula area of Azamgarh district on Sunday, Rajbhar flexed his muscles by showing the size of the crowd and the presence of Brahmin dignitaries and voters in large numbers. "Yes, I am blowing the bugle for the 2027 VS election on behalf of the NDA from the soil of Azamgarh, with a pledge to win all 10 Assembly seats of the district in 2027," said Rajbhar.
Targeting the Samajwadi Party supremo, Rajbhar questioned how long he (Akhilesh Yadav) would continue to ‘mislead' the broader OBC community, beyond the select few castes that reaped the maximum benefits of the 27% reservation quota. "None of the castes like Nai, Rajbhar, Chauhan, Prajapati, Pal, Maurya, Julaha, Chaurasiya and others in OBC benefited from the 27% quota for their category despite having equal rights. They became aware that their rights are being looted," said Rajbhar. Youths of Prajapati, Pal, Gond, Chaurasiya, Chauhan, Bind, Patel, Maurya and all those castes who were kept scared are being awakened to leave the slavery of the Samajwadi Party.Due to the same awakening, he said, "Those castes and sections of OBC are leaving the company of those who loot their rights. They are joining hands with those where they are finding hope of getting their part. Now, we seek division of the 27% OBC quota into 7%, 9% and 11% as per the Rohini Commission report. We are bringing the people of those deprived castes and sections, who are misled and deceived for decades."Showing the presence of Brahmins in the crowd at the rally, he said that they are the people who show the right path to society, and people from every community came by themselves as the people of Azamgarh became prepared to defeat the Samajwadi Party. The NDA's goal is to form govt in 2027, with a better result than the 2022 election, he said, adding that the Samajwadi Party would go where it was in 2017.Rajbhar kept attacking the Samajwadi Party and its leader for not making serious efforts for development of Assembly areas like Ahraula. "Today, Maharaja Suheldev University is built. Why didn't their (SP) govt make serious efforts to build it? They were planning to make it with Rs 1500 crore, but the NDA govt built it by investing Rs 1100 crore only."BJP's Rajbhar face and UP minister Anil Rajbhar also held a rally on the occasion of Maharaja Suheldev birth anniversary in Mahul area of Azamgarh district.
