Pvt herbal pharma co ties up with IIT-BHU

To promote global outreach of India's herbal and nutraceutical expertise, the IIT- BHU and VCA Healthcare Pvt Ltd, Alwar, signed an MoU on Thursday. The collaboration aims to foster cutting-edge research, innovation and educational exchange in the field of scientifically validated herbal formulations and nutraceuticals. The MoU was signed by V K Tripathi, MD (R&D), VCA healthcare and Prof Rajesh Kumar, Dean (research and development), IIT- BHU. The agreement outlines a roadmap for joint research projects, product development, academic collaboration and commercialisation of high-quality herbal products in the global market. TNN"The partnership brings together India's traditional knowledge and modern scientific research to develop world-class, evidence-based herbal solutions," said Tripathi, emphasising VCA Healthcare's vision to elevate Indian nutraceuticals to international prominence. Prof Sairam Krishnamurthy, head of the department of pharmaceutical engineering and technology at IIT (BHU), said, "This is a step toward translating our research capabilities into real-world innovations in the wellness and healthcare sector."Associate professor in the department, Shreyans Jain, said both institutions would be working in collaboration to produce high-grade herbal extracts and phyto-ingredients, ensuring quality, sustainability and adherence to global standards. The partnership is expected to drive innovation, generate intellectual property and expand international footprint of Indian herbal and nutraceutical products, contributing to both academic advancement and industrial growth.
