Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Dimple Yadav joint roadshow in Kashi today

VARANASI: INDIA bloc star campaigners, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Dimple Yadav, will hold a joint road show in favour of alliance candidate and UPCC president Ajay Rai in Varanasi on Saturday. Rai is pitted against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The route of the roadshow was finalised with a small change.

While earlier the joint roadshow was scheduled to begin from Seer Goverdhanpur, the birthplace of Sant Ravidas, to the Durga temple, the alliance has now decided to start the roadshow from the Durga Temple to Sant Ravidas Mandir.

Before starting the roadshow, both the leaders will offer prayers at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham.

Congress functionary Prof Satish Rai said that the local Congress committee will also issue a "charge sheet" regarding the bitter experiences of the last ten years.

After the roadshow, a joint programme of former Congress president Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav is also scheduled in Varanasi on May 29.

Earlier, the PM Modi had also held a roadshow from Malviya statue to Kashi Vishwanath Dham before filing his nomination papers on May 13. Polling is schedule in Varanasi on June 1.
