Newly elected mayor, corporators together watch ‘The Kerala Story’

Varanasi: After holding an introduction meet at the party’s Gulab Bagh office on Monday, the newly elected mayor Ashok Tiwari and 63 corporators of the Bharatiya Janata Party reached the neighbouring multiplex to watch the movie ‘The Kerala Story’.In the presence of the party’s Kashi regional unit president Dilip Singh Patel the BJP city unit hosted the introduction meeting at its office where Tiwari and corporators were felicitated.Addressing the gathering, Patel said that it’s the pride moment for party that people of Kashi gave majority to the party as their blessings. “Now the responsibility on the party has increased as elected representatives of Varanasi Municipal Corporation will have to fulfil the expectations of the people of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency.” He called upon the party men to serve the people and move on the party’s principles. He also asked them to start preparations for 2024 Lok Sabha polls.In his address, the BJP city chief Vidyasagar Rai expressed gratitude to the people of Kashi for ensuring victory of Ashok Tiwari with a record margin and electing 63 corporators including 19 women.Newly elected mayor reiterated to work hard for fulfilling the expectations of people of Kashi and make efforts to take Kashi as the cleanest city of the country.Important among others, UP ministers Ravindra Jaiswal and Dayashankar Mishra Dayalu also addressed the meeting.Later, Patel along with party office bearers, Tiwari and newly elected corporators reached neighbouring multiplex to watch movie ‘The Kerala Story.’
