Varanasi: Sarailakhansi police of Mau district lodged an FIR against jailed mafia don Mukhtar Ansari’s lawyer Daroga Singh for allegedly hurling abusive words on the judges fraternity and obstructing the process of government land measurement in Mau’s Kinnupur area.
Circle officer Mau Sadar, Dhananjay Mishra, on Wednesday said: “On the complaint of revenue inspector Rajesh Kumar Singh, an FIR under sections 294, 504 and 353 of IPC has been lodged against Daroga Singh and other villagers and the matter is being investigated.

Over 10 cases have already been lodged against Daroga Singh, who practices in the district court.”
He added, “The fact that the accused is a lawyer of Mukhtar Ansari doesn’t mean that he would start showing muscle power to pressurise officials,”
In his complaint, the revenue inspector stated that on the order of the SDM Sadar, a team of the land revenue department had gone to Tajopur Kinnupur village to look into the complaints of grabbing of two government lands on April 2. They were busy demarcating the lands in the presence of police when Daroga Singh and some other villagers obstructed the work.
He further alleged that while trying to pressurise the land revenue department staff, Daroga Singh also hurled abusive words on judges.
The revenue inspector also attached the video clips of the act of Daroga Singh as evidence. These video clips went viral on social media on Tuesday after which senior police officers swung into action and sought details on the April 2 incident from land revenue department staff.
Regarding the viral video and lodging of FIR, Daroga Singh claimed that allegations of grabbing government land by him in Kinnupur village were false and which was also proved in the process of measurements by the land revenue department staff. He further said that he did not disrupt government work and the claims that he abused judges were also untrue.

Recently, Daroga Singh was in the limelight during the assembly poll process when he had tried to seek permission of the court for completing formalities of nomination filing by Mukhtar, who is lodged in Banda jail, for contesting election from Mau seat.
After Mukhtar skipped the assembly poll, Daroga Singh had completed all formalities of nomination filing of Mukhtar’s son Abbas Ansari, who later won the Mau Sadar seat.
