Varanasi: An exhibition of projects worth Rs 60,000 crore, including those completed in past 12 years and ongoing work in
Kashi, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister
Narendra Modi at Banaras Locomotive Works grounds, before he addresses a public meeting with over 50,000 women participants on Apr 28.
Reviewing site plan for the PM events at BLW late Tuesday night, chief minister Yogi Adityanath saw a presentation on the proposed exhibition.
Accompanied by officials of district administration, police and other departments, Yogi reached BLW for physical inspection of arrangements and preparations. The presentation showed sites for parking nearest to the public meeting venue, arrangements for protection from heat and sunlight, routes of arrival and exit of participants, etc.
Yogi sought details regarding the exhibition showcasing transformation of Kashi under the Modi regime. The officials informed the CM that all major projects, which remained instrumental in all-round development of Kashi, with investment of approximately Rs 60,000 crore, will be on display. They said projects already complete and those dedicated to public as well as those running currently will be showcased during the exhibition. The list of projects to be exhibited in the proposed event will not comprise work done with the MP and MLA funds.
