Man stabs dad to death, injures brothers over property dispute

Varanasi: A man has been arrested, along with his wife, for stabbing his father to death and injuring his two siblings over a property dispute at Bhagwanpur village under the Dokati police station area in Ballia late Friday.Ballia SP Omvir Singh reported that the Dokati police arrested Mukesh Yadav and his wife Pushpa for attacking the family members over a property dispute. The couple had fled the scene after the incident, but were later caught.
The injured father and sons were rushed to a hospital, where Lalji Yadav was declared dead. Rakesh Yadav and Govind Yadav were referred to the district hospital for further treatment. Based on Mukesh's statement, police recovered the knife used in the attack.Mukesh's mother Chinta Devi alleged that her son attacked his father with a knife after being instigated by his wife Pushpa over family issues. When Rakesh and Govind tried to intervene, Mukesh stabbed them too before fleeing. Dokati police launched a manhunt after Chinta Devi's complaint and tracked Mukesh and his wife to Sonia crossing. They arrested the couple near a temple, where they were waiting for a vehicle.
