Man stabbed to death by step-brother

VARANASI: Shamim Akhtar (35), a native of Saraiyya under Jaitpura police station was brutally stabbed to death by his step-brother Ahmed Akhtar in a minor dispute on Sunday.
According to reports, Abdul Rashif of Saraiyya had married two women. He has three sons including Ahmed from his first wife while Shamim was the son of his second wife. On Sunday morning, Shamim’s mother was standing outside her home when Ahmed started spit from first floor of the building.When she raised objection Ahmed started arguing with her.
Shamim came out of the house to stop Ahmed and also indulged in the clash. In the meantime Ahmed attacked Shamim with a knife. Sahmim fell unconscious and was rushed to SPG Divisional Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. Police have arrested Ahmed with the knife used in killing after sending the body for postmortem.
