Man killed in Uttar Pradesh

VARANASI: A 55-year-old man Atul Singh, of Mahrupur village in Jafarabad area, was allegedly shot by his nephew Suraj Singh alias Prashant Singh in a land dispute, at Babhaniao village of Jaunpur district on Wednesday night. He had been living at his sister’s place for years.
On Wednesday night, Suraj, along with his aide, went to the village and shot at Atul. Atul’s brother-in-law Mukhtar Singh alias Vijay Singh lodged an FIR alleging that Suraj had threatened Atul a week back.The police have taken Suraj under custody for interrogation and launched a manhunt to nab his absconding associate.
