Gorakhpur: A 35-year-old farmer was allegedly beaten to death after he asked a biker to slow down in Gorakhpur.According to police, the victim, Gyanendra Chaudhary (35), a resident of Maniram area, had gone to inspect his fields near the Rohin river on Wednesday afternoon. During this time, a youth from Karahiya village rode a motorcycle along the road at high speed, raising a cloud of dust.

When Chaudhary asked him to slow down, an argument broke out between the two. The biker allegedly called his associates, and several men showed up armed with sticks, brutally assaulting the farmer. The attackers fled after locals raised an alarm.Chiluatal SHO Suraj Singh said Chaudhary was rushed to a private hospital in Gorakhnath area, from where he was referred to BRD Medical College in a critical condition. He succumbed to his injuries late Wednesday.Acting on a tip-off, police arrested six people on Friday and seized two bikes. Those arrested were Sandeep Nishad, Sheshnath Nishad, Gautam Nishad, Ramesh Nishad, Vicky Rajbhar and Rajan Nishad, all residents of Karahiya village.
