Indian Council for Islamic Propagation secy condemns attack on students in Nigeria

VARANASI: The Indian Council for Islamic Propagation (ICIP), a Mau-based organization, strongly condemned the killing of 59 students by the gunmen of Islamist group Boko Haram in north-east Nigeria.
Describing it as an un-Islamic act of Boko Haram, secretary of the ICIP Noorul Hasan, said, "We strongly condemn the mass killing of innocent students. Islam never allows such an act.Boko Haram men distort the image of Islam. They must repent and must not repeat such heinous act in future.
Suspected Boko Haram Islamists killed 59 people on Tuesday in an attack on secondary school students as they slept in the latest school massacre.
The attackers reportedly hurled explosives into student residential buildings, sprayed gunfire into rooms and hacked a number of students to death.
