Varanasi: Girls outshone boys in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) senior school certificate examination results that were declared on Saturday. According to CBSE coordinator VK Mishra, the pass percentage of girls was 78.12 % as compared to that of boys which was 65.93%. The overall pass percentage was 70.07%. The top score from the district was achieved by Ankita Singh of The Aryan International School who secured 98.4% marks.

On second spot, her schoolmate Sakshi Dalmia was tied with Pallavi Raj of Sunbeam English school, Lanka, at 97.8% each. The third position was bagged by Prateek Shreyansh of Sunbeam School, Lahartara, who got 97.4% marks. Shreyansh has topped in science stream in the district. A differently-abled class XII student of Sunbeam school, Rohan Jaiswal, has secured 83%.
