In a tragic incident two little girls died of suffocation after getting locked inside a car in Pahadpur area under City Kotwali police station in Azamgarh district on Sunday.

VARANASI: In a tragic incident two little girls died of suffocation after getting locked inside a car in Pahadpur area under City Kotwali police station in Azamgarh district on Sunday.
According to reports, Shafiq Ahmed of Pahadpur forgot to close the doors of his car properly while parking it outside his residence at around 10 am. While playing there his daughter Sania (4) and her cousin Rufi (2) entered the car and closed its door.

But the little girls could not open the window panes. Due to hot and humid atmosphere they died due to suffocation.
On seeing the girls missing the mother of Sania started searching for them around 1 pm. Their family members searched the girls at all those places including school where they could go but they were not found. Finally when Shafiq opened his car the bodies of the girls were found. Receiving the information of incident police also reached there. The bodies of the girls were handed over to their families after completing legal formalities, said inspector Kotwali Ashok Dixit.
