Former Naxals benefit under Lohiya Grameen Awas Yojana in Sonbhadra district
VARANASI: As many as 68 Naxals, who have been acquitted, or are on bail and those who had surrendered themselves before police, were benefited under Lohiya Grameen Awas Yojana in Sonbhadra district on Tuesday.
At a function held at the collactorate in Robertsganj, the district magistrate Chandra Bhushan Singh distributed approval documents to the beneficiaries hailing from different villages. According to the beneficiaries’ list, maximum 23 former naxals belong to Nagwa block followed by Chopan (18), Chatra (13), Dudhi (5), Babhani (3), Robertsganj (3), Ghorawal (2), and Myorpur (1). Among them four beneficiaries were women all hailing from Nagwa block.
The programme was attended by SP Sonbhadra Lallan Singh, MLAs Avinash Kushgwaha, Rubi Prasad and others.
