Bharat Bhushan said that it is suspected that assailants hacked him with bricks and stone to death. An FIR against unidentified miscreants has been lodged in this connection as his family denied having enmity with anyone, he added.
On Tuesday morning Ramu’s staff noticed the body lying in a pool of blood when he reached the shop to open it early morning. He alerted varsity proctorial board and police. On getting information Ramu’s son
Om Prakash and Lanka cops reached the incident site. After completing legal formalities at incident site police sent the body for postmortem.
During initial investigation of police Om Prakash said that Ramu had been running the tea and snacks kiosk on BHU campus after coming to the city from
Gorakhpur decades back. Ramu had also constructed his house in Ramna area, where his family dwelt. He used to sleep at the same kiosk every night. Om Prakash had last met his father on Monday night when he had gone to give food articles for dinner.
Ramu’s staff Ramsurat said that he used to work at the kiosk from 5am to 5pm. He said that the incident came to light when he reached the kiosk to open it. Om Prakash denied that his father had enmity with anyone. On his complaint police lodged a murder case against unidentified miscreants and claimed that the case would be worked out very soon.
