Body of Machhil martyrs to arrive on Thursday

VARANASI: Manoj Kumar Kushwaha and Shashank Kumar Singh, who were killed in Pakistan's action along the Line of Control (LOC) in Machhil sector of Kupwara on Tuesday, belonged to Ghazipur district of eastern UP.
Three soldiers including Shashank and Manoj were killed in a cross-border attack by suspected Pakistani terrorists on Tuesday. The body of one of the soldiers was mutilated.It is the second such incident in less than a month. Bodies of the martyrs are expected to arrive in Varanasi on Thursday.
Relatives started thronging the houses of soldiers Shashank and Manoj in Naseeruddinpur in Kasimabad and Baddhopur village of Birno, respectively as the news of their martyrdom arrived on Wednesday. Shashank was the youngest of four children. His father said Shashank's marriage was scheduled in May 2017. Manoj is survived by his mother, brother, wife and children.
