The party has proposed around four route plans for PM Modi's proposed roadshow on the eve of his filing nomination papers. Sources mention that all route plans have been prepared with the consideration that Modi would be offering prayers at the Kashi Vishwanath temple during his mega show, along with garlanding statues of Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya and Sardar Patel at Lanka and Maldahiya crossings, respectively.

The BJP is busy preparing for th road show. With the finalisation of the date for his nomination, people in Kashi have started discussing another link between Modi's nomination and the holy Ganga. Regarding Ganga Saptami falling on May 14, ritualist and scholar Sunil Laxmikant Dixit said, "Ganga Saptami is considered one of the most auspicious days, as the descent of the heavenly river Ganga on earth took place on the same day."

Since the beginning of his political journey in Varanasi, Modi has consistently drawn a connection with the revered Ganga. Before filing his nomination here in Apr 2014, he had stated, "Na mujhe kisi ne bheja hai, Na main yahan aaya hoon, Mujhe Maa Ganga ne Bulaya hai" (Neither has anyone sent me, nor have I come here; I have been called by Mother Ganga).

Again, on Mar 31, while interacting with BJP workers at 660 polling stations of the Varanasi parliamentary constituency through the Namo app during the 'Modi ka Parivar Tiffin Meet,' he reiterated, "10 years ago when I had come to file my nomination for the Varanasi LS seat, I had stated 'Mujhe Maa Ganga ne bulaya Hai.' Today, I feel that Maa Ganga ne mujhe gode le liya hai (Mother Ganga has adopted me), and I am her son."
