The protestors carried placards and raised slogans against the film.

BJP minority wing leader Harish Irfan Ahmad said, "The film is depicting Punjab in a wrong way as it is portraying that the entire state is in the grip of drugs. The film is full of vulgar dialogues, which is against Punjab."

They demanded that the movie should be banned as it is giving wrong message to youth. Some people may have fallen prey to drugs but defaming the entire state is wrong, another member of the wing said.

Despite protest, a large number of viewers, especially students, were seen standing in queues to buy tickets outside the theatre.
