BHU to organise youth fest ‘Spandan’ from Feb 21-25

Varanasi: The inter-faculty youth cultural festival ‘Spandan' of Banaras Hindu University will be organised from Feb 21 to 25. Students from various institutes, faculties, and affiliated colleges participate in diverse cultural activities and competitions in the festival. Before organising the festival, students are selected through competitions at the primary level in various departments, faculties, and affiliated colleges. Winning students at faculty level participate in Spandan. For the successful conduct of the festival, Prof B C Kapri, physical education department, was appointed as coordinator, and Aarti Nirmal, English department, as co-coordinator.Likewise, the annual competition ‘Unmesh' will be organised by Chhatra Nagar Nikay of BHU from Feb 10 to 20. Competitions will be held in literary, fine arts, sports, and music categories in Unmesh. Prof Anand Kumar Singh was appointed as coordinator of literary competitions, Apala Saha as coordinator of debate and speech competition and women's indoor sports competition, Abhishek Singh as coordinator of the general awareness quiz and men's sports competitions.
