Bal Niketan students put up brilliant show

VARANASI: The Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW) Bal Niketan Vidyalaya observed its annual function at the sports stadium of DLW Inter College on Sunday. Clad in school uniform, a band of students carried out a marchpast and marked the beginning of the function, followed by various sports events.
According to spokeperson Pradeep Mishra, different sporting activities for different classes like cycle race, bursting the balloons, 200 m race, 100 m race, skipping, skipping race, relay race and many other races for nursery students were organised on the occasion.
Dressed in colourful attires, little kids presented welcome dance, monsoon dance, aerobics and many folklores. While students who received highest marks in sports, arts, crafts, writing were felicitated on the occasion, Anjali Sen of Class V and Raksha Raj of Class IV were awarded with the trophies of best student and running shield respectively. The annual magazine of the school was also released on the same.
General Manager, DLW. B P Khare, president of women welfare organisation, DLW, Ranjana Khare, principal of the school Reeta Mishra, members of the women welfare organisation, officers and workers of DLW along with parents and students were present on the occasion.
