Varanasi: An elderly woman and three children of a family died and four others suffered injuries, when a truck overturned outside their house in Rampur area of Jaunpur district on Thursday morning.

The house of one Madan Sonkar is situated on Jaunpur-Mirzapur highway in Machhlimandi area in Rampur. On Wednesday night, his mother Pyari Devi and seven other family members were sleeping outside the house.

The driver of a truck lost control on steering while overtaking another vehicle . Pyari, Riya, Shreya and Aman died on the spot. where their condition was critical, said SO Rampur Nadeem Ahmed Faridi said.
