Women start-ups to get boost in Gujarat
Vadodara: Ahead of the forthcoming Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2017, the state government is organizing a seminar ‘An Ode to Women Entrepreneurship’ in the city on Thursday.
The seminar to be held in Sayaji Nagar Gruh in Akota aims to support and encourage start-ups by women. Deputy chief minister Nitin Patel will inaugurate the event.
The seminar will be attended by over 1,000 participants including key decision makers, industry stalwarts, diplomats who will engage in an open and informative discussion.
Some of the key speakers who will attend the seminar include Thinlas Chorol, founder of Ladakhi Women's Travel Company, Manjula Pooja Shroff, chairperson of Kalorex Group, Maltiben Chaudhary from Mehsana’s Doodhsagar Dairy, Dr Villoo Morawala Patell, chairman and managing director of Avesthagen Limited and city-based educationist Tejal Amin.
“Our aim is to recognize, support and advance women in their entrepreneurial endeavors. The event will provide an opportunity to the aspiring women entrepreneurs to see the upcoming opportunities for business in the country,” said Dr Jayanti Ravi, commissioner and principal secretary, rural development in Gujarat government.
Successful women entrepreneurs, academicians and government officials will share their life experiences.
