VADODARA: The Vadodara Urban Development Authority (VUDA) has sent a proposal to the state urban development minister Nitin Patel and Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) to make all entry roads to the city 40 metre wide. A demand in this regard was made earlier by Raopura MLA and state parliamentary secretary Yogesh Patel.
The proposal states that all entry points to the city must be made 40 metre wide and should also include service roads. In all, 13 roads that lead to the city have been identified as ones that can be developed in such a way.
Yogesh Patel said that major investments were coming around Vadodara and it was necessary that the roads connecting the city were wide. It has been suggested that the proposal be included in the second revised development plan of the city. tnn
