VGL slashes gas prices
Vadodara: Vadodara Gas Ltd (VGL) slashed tariff for piped natural gas (PNG) as well as compressed natural gas (CNG) after the central government reduced prices of natural gas. VGL announced on Friday that the tariff of PNG being provided to domestic consumers was slashed from Rs 48 per unit to Rs 46.5 per unit excluding taxes. Similarly, the prices of CNG were being slashed Rs Rs 79.6 per kg to Rs 73.5 per kg including taxes. The city gas distribution company provides piped gas to around 2,21,000 households in the city. It also sells around 95,000kg CNG from its gas stations every day.
