Vehicle thefts on the rise in city

Despite increased patrolling in different areas of the city, the number of vehicle thefts is on rise. On Sunday, four complaints of vehicle thefts were registered in different police stations.

VADODARA: Despite increased patrolling in different areas of the city, the number of vehicle thefts is on rise. On Sunday, four complaints of vehicle thefts were registered in different police stations. Two two-wheelers, a car and a tanker were reported to be stolen of which the tanker was found abandoned by the thieves on Padra Road.
A resident of Chhani registered a police complaint with Fatehgunj police station that his two-wheeler was stolen from near his home some days back.

Suman Patel, a resident of Karelibaug, also registered a complaint that her four-wheeler worth Rs four lakh was stolen from near her home on Saturday night.
Raiskhan Pathan, a resident of Surat, found his tanker worth Rs four lakh missing from Undera village. Some unidentified person stole his tanker with duplicate key.
The accused then removed wheel-tyres of the truck worth rs 90,000 and abandoned the vehicle. tnn
