Two students selected for int’l mind sports event

Vadodara: Two students from Vadodara, Dhoon Vimarsh Parikh and Ayush Ravikant Sinha, were selected for the prestigious World Mind Sports Championship to be held in Dubai from Nov 10 to Nov 16.
Dhoon is a class 4 student at Nalanda International School, while Ayush studies in class 5 at Anand Vidhya Vihar.
"Dhoon and Ayush diligently practised for two to four hours daily for the past two months. They will showcase their mental agility in various disciplines," said Pinal Shah, territorial ambassador of World Mind Sports, who guided the duo.
The duo will showcase their abilities in flash and auditory math skills, sudoku, chess, Rubik's cube, and tangram, apart from addition, multiplication, and division.
"Research suggests that the neuron cells in the brain develop fastest between ages 0-14 years. Engaging in activities like these can significantly enhance focus, concentration, and confidence in children," said Shah.
The selection process was rigorous, spanning six months before Dhoon and Ayush qualified for the world championship.
