The principal of Navrachana International School in Bhayli received an email at around 4am that she read some time later. The principal immediately alerted the school management who called the police.

“The email read that bombs have been placed in the pipeline in the Navrachana schools. So, we alerted the officials of our other two schools in the city and informed the police. The cops carried out intensive search in all the three schools but found nothing suspicious. It was a hoax email,” said Tejal Amin, chairperson, Navrachana Education Society.

The management closed down the three schools for a day and informed the parents of all the students.

Nearly 150 policemen including the bomb squad carried out the search operation. Sources said that email also has some mention about the political situation in Tamil Nadu.
