Vadodara airport ranks second in customer satisfaction survey

Vadodara: The city airport has been ranked second in the Customer Satisfaction Survey (CSS) 2025 conducted across 58 airports by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) in Category II (handling 0.5 to 1.5 million passengers annually).The award was presented to airport director M S I Dawood by the AAI chairman at a function in New Delhi on March 31.Airport officials said the recognition reflects consistent efforts to enhance passenger experience and service quality.In the survey, Vadodara airport scored 4.98 out of 5, narrowly trailing top-ranked airports such as Khajuraho, Bhopal and Aurangabad, which scored 4.99."Vadodara airport stands at number one among AAI-operated airports in Gujarat, highlighting the coordinated efforts of AAI, airlines, CISF and other stakeholders," an official said.Officials added that the airport is also set to benefit from the Centre's modified UDAN scheme, aimed at boosting regional air connectivity.The Union cabinet on Wednesday approved the revamped regional connectivity scheme, which proposes development of 100 airports and 200 heliports across the country. It also seeks to make air travel more affordable and accessible, particularly for passengers from Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, while promoting domestic aircraft manufacturing under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative.Authorities said the initiative is expected to strengthen connectivity and create new growth opportunities for airports like Vadodara.
