Two college students held with drugs worth Rs 5.7 lakh
VADODARA: Two youth were arrested with contraband crystal methamphetamine powder
The duo — Raj alias Sameer Parmar (21) and Viren alias Dev Chauhan (19) — were nabbed by the surveillance staff of Sama police station based on information. The accused are
“They acted innocent when we stopped them, but on frisking them we found a small pouch in their pockets in which they had hid the drugs,” said inspector P D Parmar of Sama police station. During interrogation the duo told police Chintu Patel, a resident of Manjalpur, had ordered the drugs from them and had made advance payment for the consignment.
“We have learnt that they used to take money in advance and then deliver the drugs. We are interrogating them about how they got in touch with the Mumbai-based supplier and since when they are into this business,” Parmar said. He added that they are also searching for Patel as he had ordered the drugs.
Cops said that they have informed their parents about it and will also search their homes. They had failed in their exams due to which the college has detained them, police said.

of diploma engineering course at a private engineer college and live in Diwalipura. Police said that the duo was about to leave from Dumad crossroads after receiving 95 gram of crystal methamphetamine powder from a Mumbai-based man named Zafar Ali Khan.“We have learnt that they used to take money in advance and then deliver the drugs. We are interrogating them about how they got in touch with the Mumbai-based supplier and since when they are into this business,” Parmar said. He added that they are also searching for Patel as he had ordered the drugs.
