Two arrested for duping woman of gold in city

Vadodara: Sleuths of the detection of crime branch (DCB) arrested two men who duped a woman and stole her gold ornaments in the city. The duo posed as salesmen and offered the woman to polish her gold ornaments a few days ago, the victim told the police in her complaint.The police said that it intercepted the two thugs riding on a bike near Lalbaug bridge on Thursday. When frisked, cops found packets of powder, soda, shampoo bottle and a brush from them. When questioned, they admitted of having cheated a woman on March 17. The accused have been identified as Manish Shah, a resident of Nadiad and Shravan Kansara, a resident of Rajasthan. Investigations revealed that Shah has earlier been arrested 10 times for cheating, while Kansara too was arrested for cheating in Banaskantha.
