Six NBFC staffers cheat contractor
VADODARA: A civil contractor was cheated of Rs 1.4 lakh by six employees of a private non-banking finance company (NBFC).
The accused promised him a home loan and debited instalment amount from his bank account even before his loan was approved.

The accused then told Pandya that his loan has been approved and he would have to give post-dated cheques for instalments. But, despite several days Pandya did not get the loan amount and his three instalments got debited from his account.
Pandya told the police that he tried to approach the company’s executives but they could not be contacted. Later, when he went to the company’s branch in Alkapuri, he was told that the three have left the job.
Police said that he was then promised by another employee named Krishna that he will get back the money that was debited from his account as instalment but not the processing fee.
However, the instalment amount was also not returned to him, police said, after which he lodged complaint against the four persons and branch manager and executive manager of the company.
No arrests have been made by cops yet.

promised him the loan and asked Pandya to submit necessary documents and pay the required processing fees.Police said that Pandya mortgaged his land inSanand
