Twenty-two-year-old Gangwani, a resident of Vadodara, is a close aide of notorious gangster Mukesh Harjani. The latter is still on the run and is wanted in connection with a series of offences including murders of bootlegger Pappu Sharma and Chacko from Anand.
Godhra B-division circle police inspector N V Desai said that Gangwani was involved in a series of offences including the Chacko murder case, firing on Jagyasi and a businessman in Ullhasnagar in Mumbai, and stabbing a person in Vadodara.
