jail in connection with an offence of paying a man who had provided him cotton crop residues in fake notes.
The doctor of the ward where Gangwani was to be examined was not present on Friday morning. The police was asked to bring him back on May 11. At this time, Gangwani started pleading with the cops that he wanted to see his daughter. He was taken to the Pooja Hotel in Alkapuri in a private car by the reserve police sub-inspector (PSI) of Chhota Udepur police headquarters, J P

Damor

When the group reached the hotel, the manager of the hotel Sunil Parmar was present there. He asked a room boy Dinesh Macwan to open room number six. Gangwani, Damor and others sat in the room till Gangwani’s wife Suman and sister Jayshri reached there.
Later,G angwani and the two women remained in the room while the others, including Damor, went to another room adjoining it. At around 3pm, the PSI went to check on Gangwani and realised that he and the women were missing. He informed his seniors and an offence was registered late in the night at the Sayajigunj police station. Sources said Damor had conveyed the incident very late to his seniors and the city police. Reader police inspector R C Rathwa was rushed to the city from Chhota Udepur in the wake of the incident and he registered an offence against Damor.
Sayajigunj police inspector R G Jadeja said that Damor and the two staffers of the hotel had been detained. Their samples have been collected for a Covid test and would be arrested if the test was found negative.
Damor was suspended by the Chhota Udepur police on Saturday. Chhota Udepur deputy superintendent of police A V Katkad said that an inquiry will also be conducted against Damor.
