VADODARA: While rains marred the rally held by the city unit of the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) to protest against the rising prices, the party managed to put up a good show. The leaders of the party submitted memorandum, addressed to the president of India, to the district collector at the end of the rally.
Encouraged by the response it received to the nationwide bandh call, the city BJP had organised a maha rally' on Saturday.
But, the city received heavy rains with 30 minutes for the rally to start. With the downpour easing out later, the rally was held.
The memorandum by BJP submitted at the end of the rally asked the president to intervene and ensure that necessary action will be taken to ensure that the prices go down. It stated that this should be done before the people lose their patience.
