VADODARA: The district police has begun investigations into a case of accident after brother of one of the deceased alleged that it was a murder. Two persons including sarpanch of Karyavarohan village had died in the accident that happened near Sunderpura village last month. One of the persons traveling the car had survived the accident.
Those killed in the accident have been identified as Arun Patel, 42, who was sarpanch and Dr Devendra Patel, 48.

Dhaval Patel, who was driving the car, had managed to escape out of the car after it rammed into a tree and caught fire.
Arun's brother Dilip Patel has now given an application to the police stating that his brother was killed brutally. Dilip has stated in his application that Arun's mobile was untraceable. Also, a can having some inflammable substance was found from the spot but the police didn't inquire into it. Dilip has written to district superintendent of police (DSP) and requested for reinvestigation.
The police has decided to reconstruct the accident scenario and question Dhaval who was present in the car but survived the accident. The accident had occurred on the night of May 5 when Arun, Devendra and Dhaval were returning to Karyavarohan when the alleged accident happened. Dhaval told the police that the car rammed into the a tree and caught fire.
