VADODARA: M S University's Oriental Institute and Gujarat Sahitya Academy, Gandhinagar are jointly organizing a one-day national seminar on 'Research in Indian Languages and Literature: Problems, Prospects and Perspectives' on Wednesday.
The seminar sponsored by the University Grants Commission and Gujarat Sahitya Academy will be held at Deep Auditorium of BBA Building at the Maharaja Pratapsinghrao Parisar.

The day long program that will start with an inaugural function will be followed by eleven sessions on different themes running simultaneously.
Different experts of different languages' literature from Indian universities have been invited as guest speakers and chairpersons.
Padmashri Sitanshu Yashaschandra will deliver the keynote address. Harshad Trivedi, Mahamantri of Gujarat Sahitya Academy, Gandhinagar, professor Jagadish Gurjar (Gujarati) from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat, professor Vasant Bhatt (Sanskrit) from Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, professor Dilip Barad (English) from Bhavnagar University will be the guest speakers.
MSU vice-chancellor professor Yogesh Singh will preside over the inaugural function. Professor R I Nanavati (Sanskrit) from Vadodara, Dr Atanu Bhattacharya (English) from Central University of Gujarat at Gandhinagar, Dr Shivprasad Shukla (Hindi) from S P University, Dr Vimmi Sadarangani (Sindhi) from Tolani College of Arts and Sciences and Dr Rajendra Mehta (comparative literature) from University of Delhi are panelists.
Professor R G Kothari, dean of MSU's Faculty of Education and Psychology will chair the panel discussion and valedictory function.
