Man posing as policeman held

Vadodara: A 22-year-old man posing as a policeman from the Sayajigunj police station was caught by the police on Saturday.
Nitin Agrawal (22), a resident of the Sama area, was throwing his weight around and checking shops selling kites in the Fatehgunj area.
Sayjigunj police came to know of this person after an informer told them that a man was moving around in Fatehgunj. He had allegedly entered a kite shop telling the seller that he was selling duplicate lanterns. He claimed that he was from the ‘D’ staff of the Sayajigunj police station.
When personnel from the Sayajigunj police station reached Fatehgunj and questioned the man, he again reiterated that he was a cop. When his identity card was asked for, he was not able to furnish one.
He was arrested and an offence was registered against him at the Sayajigunj police station.
