London-bound woman dies in crash after visiting India for treatment

Vadodara: What was meant to be a return journey to reunite with her family in London turned into a tragedy for 45-year-old Rupal Patel, who lost her life in the Air India crash on Thursday.Rupal was born and raised in Halol in Panchmahal district, where her father, the late Vishnu Patel, had settled after moving from Uttarsanda in Kheda. She studied in Halol before marrying Pinal Patel, a resident of Oad in Anand district, and the couple later settled in the UK.According to sources, Rupal had recently travelled to India for medical treatment. On Thursday, she boarded the ill-fated Ahmedabad–London flight to return home, but fate had other plans. Her family, though now based in Uttarsanda, maintained ties with Halol and visited often.
