Vadodara: In a boost to advanced urological care in central Gujarat, Shree Krishna Hospital in Karamsad has installed a 65-watt laser system — the first of its kind in the twin districts of Anand-Kheda. The facility was inaugurated on Saturday with support from Rotary Club Anand Round Town and its international partner, Rotary Club of Charlotte Hall.
The high-powered laser system will aid in minimally invasive procedures for treating kidney and ureteric stones, as well as in various soft tissue conditions.
"The new laser system is a game-changer in stone management. It allows for precise fragmentation of kidney and ureteric stones using flexible ureteroscopy, ensuring faster recovery with minimal discomfort," said Dr Kushal Patel, a urologist at Shree Krishna Hospital. "It also enhances soft tissue treatment, including procedures for prostate-related conditions."
Hospital officials highlighted that the new equipment will enable quicker patient discharge, significantly reduced post-operative pain and shorter recovery periods.
