Gambling den raided on Vadsar Road

Vadodara: Manjalpur police raided a gambling den on Vadsar Road on Friday night and arrested 15 people.

Police said Nazim Siddiqui, a resident of Vadsar Road, used to run a gambling den in a building on Vadsar Road. The police said though Siddiqui did not live there, the building is owned by him.

Cops said when they raided the place, they found 14 people playing card games with money. A police official said all 14 people are residents of neighbouring localities of Manjalpur and Makarpura. The cops found Rs23,210 from their possession which was seized together with cash amounting to Rs45,350 used for gambling by them. The police also seized 15 mobile phones worth Rs53,000 from them.
