VADODARA: Maharaja Sayajirao University’s Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) will organize a national human resource (HR) symposium titled ‘People Connect’.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) sponsored symposium will be held on March 23 where eminent HR experts, CEOs, COOs, trade union leader and academicians will deliberate upon a variety of subjects.

“We are organizing this symposium to deliberate upon the issue, need, importance, practices and impact of ‘People Connect’ in organizations through human resource management or organisation behaviour systems and processes, through industrial relations and through the use of technology and networking,” programme director Dr Sunita Sharma informed TOI on Friday.
She added that the symposium has been divided into three sessions. While experts like Bhupinder Singh, vice-president, HR at Reliance Industries in Gujarat will be chairperson at the first session on ‘People Connect with HR/OB systems and processes’, the first session will witness presence of Bala Sundaram, director of HR at British Gas, Mumbai and Chirag Brahmbhatt, director of HR Gujarat Gas Co. Ltd, Surat.
The second session will witness presence of Dr A P Singh, CEO of Maanvik Consultancy, IIM Ahmedabad professor Jerome Joseph and Keshubhai Thakkar, president of Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh’s Gujarat unit.
Similarly, COO of Vadodara-based Quick Start Global Bharat Mehta, former general manager of Gujarat Electricity Board Shirish Sapre and HR head of Sterlite Technologies Limited Upendra Chaturvedi will be experts in third session.
