Crime branch nabs murder convict absconding for over 2 years

Vadodara: A murder-accused sentenced to life imprisonment was arrested by the crime branch sleuths after he jumped parole.
The accused Nilesh Parmar was given parole for 14 days in 2022, following which he was released from the Vadodara Central Jail during the pandemic. But he didn't return to the jail after his parole ended and instead went missing.
The accused was arrested from Anand after the cops received a tip-off about him. "We got a tip-off that Parmar was in Anand, following which our team reached there and nabbed him," the police said.
The cops were looking for Parmar for the last two years. Parmar was convicted of murdering a man in Anand in 2019. The court sentenced him to life imprisonment.Get the latest lifestyle updates on Times of India, along with Holi wishes, messages and quotes !
