The police said that they have got CCTV footages of the accused who took Rahul away but the images are not clear. Rahul was kidnapped by the accused early on the morning of June 4 when he was sleeping with his family by roadside near Sardar Patel Circle. The police are yet to ascertain whether the accused abused the child sexually before killing him.
Two similar incidents had happened in Sayajigunj in February this year when two children were kidnapped from roadside when they were sleeping with their family. Both the kids were sexually molested and later murdered. The police had arrested a mentally challenged person in the case.?
