VADODARA: Countdown clocks to Vadodara Marathon were installed at two prominent landmark intersections in the city. An LED clock was put up at Kalaghoda Circle late on Sunday and another one at the Bird Circle was inaugurated late on Monday.
The clocks will show the days remaining to the marathon scheduled on November 22. It's for the first time that such countdown clocks have been installed in the city for any event.
The clock at Kalaghoda Circle was inaugurated by former Indian cricketer Nayan Mongia, chairman and managing director (CMD) of Jyoti Ltd Rahul Amin and Raopura MLA Yogesh Patel, while the one at Bird Circle was inaugurated by former Indian cricketer Kiran More, leader of Opposition in Vadodara Municipal Corporation Chirag Zaveri and Grand Polycoats CMD Bharat Chokshi.

This year, the marathon is being organized in aid of Vadodara Traffic Education Trust. In the years to come, similar aid will be provided for other purposes contributing to the development of the city. Registrations for the marathon had opened on September 10.
