City paddlers win medals at veterans’ tourney

Vadodara: Veteran players from the city won several medals at the 31st Masters National Table Tennis Tournament held recently in Madhya Pradesh. Shital Shah of Deesha Dynamic Table Tennis Academy won gold in the Women's 40+ singles and doubles alongside Shraddha Maheshwary, a silver medal in the mixed doubles with Viral Patel and bronze in the Women's 40+ Team event.
Laxmanrao Thakrey, won a gold medal in the Men's 60+ team event, and Kinnari Patel won gold in the Women's 50+ event. Those won bronze medals in the tournament were Shubhangi Hardikar, Padmini Desai, Anjula Barupal and Madhu Parikh, in the women's 60+ event.
