Car mows down morning walker

VADODARA: A morning walk in chilly breeze proved fatal for a resident of Manjalpur on Monday. A car hit Sunil Patel (45) and dragged him for some distance before he died on the spot due to severe head injuries. Driver of the car fled from the spot leaving the vehicle behind.
According to the police, the car with registration number GJ 6 ED 7137 came from behind and ran over Patel.The victim didn't get time to react and was dragged by the car for a distance. The accused seemed to have lost control of the car as the vehicle rammed into a gate erected in front of Shreeji party plot near Shalin Complex damaging it completely. The police have seized the car. The victim's family donated his eyes before conducting his last rites.
