Businessman's body found from car in Alkapuri

VADODARA: The usually tranquil road leading to Sardarbaug Garden in Alkapuri area witnessed panic on Monday afternoon after the body of a city-based businessman, Mukesh Thakkar, was found in a black Hyundai car.
Thakkar may have committed suicide as there are no injury marks on his body, said Sayajigunj police inspector V Solanki. "We have taken the statement of his wife and have begun investigations.The body of 45-year-old Thakkar must have been lying there for at least two days," Solanki added.
Sources said that Thakkar, a resident of Akota area, had left his home on May 16 and was missing since then. He was native of Surat and had shifted to the city some time back. He is survived by his wife and eight-year-old son. Sources added that Thakkar was suffering from diabetes.
