British deputy high commissioner visits Vadodara Municipal Corporation, explores tie-ups

VADODARA: The British deputy high commissioner to

Gujarat

and Rajasthan, Peter Cook, visited the city on Tuesday. He discussed the possibilities of collaboration with the

Vadodara Municipal Corporation

(

VMC

).


Cook met VMC commissioner Nalin Upadhyay and other VMC officials at Khanderao Market. Major infrastructure projects that had been taken up by the civic body or were in the pipeline were discussed during the meeting. The possibility of collaboration on different aspects was also discussed during the meeting.

Sources said that Britain had identified 10 cities in the country and appointed a consultant for these cities.

The consultant would be providing expertise whenever needed in any of the major iconic projects in these cities.
