BJP prez skirts commenting on Bhargav Bhatt’s ‘ouster’

Vadodara: State BJP president C R Paatil avoided commenting on former BJP state general secretary Bhargav Bhatt who was relieved of his responsibilities recently.
Paatil was in the city to address a meeting of party workers on Tuesday night and attend the ground-breaking ceremony for the new party office in the city.
Bhatt was relieved of his post earlier this month.With no formal announcement on the party’s action, there has been a lot of speculation regarding the reason for the step.
Paatil was asked if Bhatt would get any other post during a media interaction. But the BJP Gujarat president chose to end the interaction thanking the media. Earlier, when it had come to light that Bhatt was no more the general secretary, Bhatt too had refused to comment.
The new office of the party coming up in the Bahucharaji area in Karelibaug will be a ground-plus-three-storey structure.
The office will have sufficient parking space, a room for media interaction, a library, call centre, social media war room, an office for various government schemes as well as other facilities apart from workspaces for city unit functionaries and visiting dignitaries. The new office is expected to be completed by April 2024.
